Recess Measurement
Used when the blind is to be fitted inside the window recess. When selecting Recess Size, we will make all deductions.
Recess Width:
Measure in 3 places across the window recess, take the smallest measurement and enter this as the width (in cm).
From the width of the blind, we will deduct 1.5cm. This is to ensure that the blind will fit inside the recess without being too tight.
Recess Drop:
Measure in 3 places down the window recess, take the smallest measurement and enter this as the width (in cm).
From the drop of the blind, we will deduct 1cm. This is to ensure that the blind will fit inside the recess without touching the window sill.
The headrail is included in the drop of the blind therefore the louvres will be shorter than the drop.
Exact Blind Measurement
When selecting (Exact Blind Size), no deductions will be made. Exact Blind Size is normally used selected when the blind is to sit outside of the recess.
Exact Blind Width (also known as pin width or finished blind width):
The width of the blind will be made to the width ordered.
Measure the width that you require the blind to be (we recommend 75mm at each side of the recess for minimum light bleed.)
Exact Blind Drop:
The drop of the blind will be made to the drop ordered. Measure the drop that you require the blind to be (we recommend 75mm at the top and bottom for minimum light bleed.)
